Betty Saxton Potter, 75, of Yazoo City passed away at her residence Tuesday August 22, 2017. Internment will follow in the Saxton Family Cemetery located at Kenny Saxton's residence in the Midway Community. Adams is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Jeremy Cleo Graham. He retired from the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics following a lucrative career in law enforcement, which was his true passion. Adams was employed by the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office, the Pascagoula Police Reserves, Bellaire Texas Police Department, and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. Adams had an unwavering assurance that God was the forefront of his existence. His strong belief in Christ was evident through both his words and his actions. Adams was an extraordinary role model to younger generations and was his absolute happiest when he was surrounded by those he loved. Adams never met a stranger, and to know him was to love him. will be held at Stricklin-King Funeral home in Yazoo City on Wednesday August 23, 2017. Survivors are her husband Jeff Hasty, aunt; Rita & Jery Hopkins of Saucier, MS, brothers Tommy Boyanton & Buddy Boyanton of Yazoo City, ½ brothers; Daniel Douglas & David Hester of Westland, MI, and by her puppy an Australian Shepard “Bandit”. Both attended Holmes Junior College after graduation and before he joined the Navy.
